The development of a website providing access to the Health and Social Care S/NVQs. This website has been developed for anyone involved with the Health and Social Care S/NVQs. It provides a user friendly interface for accessing the S/NVQ units in a quick and efficient way. It also provides a search facility allowing users to search the content of all of the S/NVQ units.

This tool was developed to help individuals identify and access health informatics qualifications that are relevant to their needs. It is a data base driven product based on a qualifications mapping carried out for the Health and Social Care Information Centre.

This web site was developed to support the implementation of the National Workforce Competence Framework for Children and Young People (including draft competences for maternity services). It provides several routes into the competences and a number of ‘templates’ for using the competences. The CD-Rom version of this web site has been well received by managers in children’s services and the web site makes the product more widely available to the sector.

Skills for Health, in partnership with National Workforce Projects, developed the Workforce Planning Competences in 2005. This product supports the implementation and uses these competences. It gives a variety of background and supporting information that users in the field have found extremely valuable.

The Health Informatics National Occupational Standards (HINOS) are suitable for the following groups of health sector staff:

This on-line tool makes the HINOS easily accessible and available to individuals who require these competences for a variety of HRD purposes. The on-line tool includes a search facility that allows users to pin point specific words or phrases within the competences and associated materials.
